Petition for Organic Farming in Tucheng

Dear Magistrate Chou

We have come from Japan and Korea and are fortunate to have joined the trip organized by Peace & Green Boat to the organic farm at an abandoned ammunition depot in Tucheng City, Taipei County, Taiwan.

We heard you are working on a vision for an international low-carbon city for Taipei County. For this reason, we would like to share our experience of visiting this abandoned ammunition depot here in Tucheng with you.

We are so happy and envious that a blooming metropolis like the city and county of Taipei has such a large area so close by that can provide a working model ecological wisdom, natural habitat preservation and organic farming. 

Hopefully, you would be able to work with residents in this community to defend your natural habitat and the lungs for Taipei County alike. This could truly be an example for and gift to the international community of a low carbon city.

An urban plan for ecological restoration and community preservation, and scrapping plans we have learned about absolutely fits the needs of your citizen’s livelihood and well being. If you can make this commitment we think that you will make great gains in the support of your constituents.
